Since 2016, VoteProChoice helps pro-choice voters elect pro-choice champions in every election everywhere. From school board to sheriff to city council, every elected position has the power to expand or restrict our reproductive freedom. Our Team Vote Pro-Choice is powered by a devoted, creative, diverse group of committed individuals throughout the country. We protect their safety and identity in a Post-Roe world. Leadership About Our Executive Director Sara Tabatabaie Sara Tabatabaie is the Executive Director of Vote Pro-Choice. With more than a decade of political campaign experience, she has worked on presidential races, hyper-local campaigns, and everything in between – always with a special emphasis on growing the electorate and empowering young people, specifically young women, to engage in the political process. Since joining Vote Pro-Choice in 2019, Sara moved from Communications Director to Chief Political Officer to Interim Executive Director, at the request of the Board in August of 2023. Under her leadership, Vote Pro-Choice scaled its national voter guide program to the largest in the country, becoming the most-used guide on the BallotReady platform ahead of the 2020 and 2022 elections and earning the title of ‘Most Impactful Digital Tool in 2022’ by the Center for Digital Strategy. Before joining Vote Pro-Choice, Sara served as the Digital Director for Rock the Vote, focused on registering and turning out young people to vote. For years, she served on the Steering Committee for National Voter Registration Day, and in 2018, Sara worked on the Second Chances campaign, a successful ballot initiative effort to restore voting rights to people with prior felony convictions in Florida. As a new mother, Sara’s lived experience is essential to this moment. Her Middle Eastern heritage provides a lens into barriers specifically facing women of color in the world of reproductive freedom. She openly and honestly shares her own abortion story, naming that it was her decision to terminate a pregnancy in 2012 that freed her to reclaim her life and ultimately become a mother a decade later on her own terms. Chief Program Officer Carly LeQuire Carly is the Chief Program Officer at Vote Pro-Choice, where she leads partnerships, endorsements, and the organization’s award-winning voter guide. Since joining in 2019 as Manager of the Voter Guide, she has overseen its expansion into the largest pro-choice voter resource in the U.S., covering every race from presidential elections to local school boards. Under her leadership, the voter guide was recognized as the "Most Impactful Digital Tool" by the Center for Digital Strategy in 2022. Carly’s commitment to reproductive freedom and voter empowerment is informed by her early work in health advocacy, where she supported individuals living with chronic illness and mental health challenges. This experience gave her a deep understanding of the importance of advocating for underserved communities, shaping her mission-driven approach today. Before transitioning into civic tech, Carly served as Director of Development at AIDS Alabama. She then managed customer success at BallotReady, working with some of the company's earliest clients to develop and implement voter education and engagement tools. Carly thrives on implementing scalable agile processes that empower small teams to achieve national impact, ensuring voters have the information they need to make informed, pro-choice decisions in elections at every level.
