Ghazala Hashmi is the only candidate for Lieutenant Governor endorsed by abortion rights groups. With GOP extremists trying to ban abortion and jail doctors, she wrote the bill shielding Virginia doctors from right-wing prosecutors, and she’s helping pass the constitutional amendment to secure reproductive rights for all Virginians. As Lieutenant Governor, she will protect public education, reproductive freedom, and democracy. Ghazala Hashmi has a successful track record of fighting back against Donald Trump. When Trump tried to take away healthcare from 600,000 Virginians, she led the fight to stop him. And while Trump works to destroy the Department of Education, she defends students, supports teachers, and fights to block book bans.
